Prescott Herbies (Herbalists) Monthly Meet Up

  • Herbal Wisdom Institute 8141 East Florentine Road Prescott Valley, AZ, 86314 United States (map)

Building Our Herbal Tribe

Join a group of herbalists in the Prescott area to connect, share, and learn. This is a social group that will host meetups and activities related to the field of herbalism.

This group is being started by alumni of Herbal Wisdom Institute's herbalist certification program but will be open to anyone with a passion for herbalism. Our mission is to grow the herbal tribe in Northern Arizona in order to create a strong community of traditional healers who will transform the health and lifestyle of our area and develop a culture of inclusiveness and networking for the greater good.

Each event we host will have an educational element but will first and foremost be a way to meet and connect with like-minded individuals in our area.

Events

Prescott Herbies will meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:30pm. Let us know. You can email kris@herbalwisdominstitute.com or call (928)227-2760

Walk the Urban Trail at Granite Creek
5:30-?

General Description:
We will meet in downtown Prescott for a walk on the urban trail along Granite Creek. We will be looking at riparian species, in particular riparian trees, but also herbaceous plants that are still alive for the year.

For those that wish to join, we will be heading to the Raven Café afterward for refreshments, and to further chat about plants, etc!

Details:
We will be meeting at the courthouse plaza on the corner of Goodwin and Montezuma Streets at 5:30pm. From there we will walk over to Mile High Middle School to see the largest cottonwood tree in town, and to get on the urban trail. The trail will take us along Granite Creek through downtown Prescott, and over to beautiful Granite Creek Park. We will finish up our plant walk there, and continue as a group back toward the courthouse. The entire walk will be about one mile long.

For those who wish to join after the plant walk, we will be gathering at the Raven Café for tea, beer, wine, and/or food.

RSVP by calling (928)227-2760
